I-5/116th Street NE Interchange Improvements
Phase 3 of the interchange improvements project reconstructed the existing three-lane bridge over I-5 to a six-lane bridge and connected the widening of 116th east and west of the interstate.
1 Alliance provided structural surveying of the bridge structure drilled shaft, bridge substructure, bridge superstructure, bridge approach slab, noise wall, SEW walls, and stone columns. Roadway surveying tasks included horizontal and vertical control, erosion control staking, temporary alignment, electrical staking, utility/drainage staking, storm structure staking, luminaire staking, pole staking, traffic loops, permanent/temporary channelization, and roadway staking (subgrade/surfacing).
The construction of the new bridge will increase capacity, reduce delays, and improve turning movements to move more cars through the interchange more efficiently.
